SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: Alianza, Inc., provider of hosted voice over WiMAX solutions, has announced the availability of its Enterprise Connectivity Service to extend the reach of its hosted voice platform into enterprise networks. The Alianza Enterprise Connectivity Service allows service providers to build SIP trunks and interconnect them between the Alianza platform and a Gateway or PBX on an end-user network. Enterprise customers can use their existing PBX and phones, maintaining the value of existing investments while taking advantage of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) features and cost savings.

As with all Alianza services, the Alianza Enterprise Connectivity Service’s back-end creation and management processes are automated and completely integrated with other pieces of the platform. Service providers can create an unlimited number of SIP trunk bundle offerings. These bundles include the number of concurrent calls, set-up fee, monthly recurring charge and a non-recurring charge, which can be named and priced for each bundle. End-users can log in and add a SIP trunk to their account with the click of a button.

“Traditional trunk products like ISDN PRI circuits are limited to 23 (T1) to 30 (E1) channels per trunk, depending on the market, and can take weeks to order and provision. With Alianza SIP trunks, service providers are not limited to a fixed number of ports. This reduces costs and allows enterprise customers to gradually scale a voice solution to meet their needs,” said Brian Beutler, CEO of Alianza. “With the ease of administration, flexibility and lower costs, the Alianza Enterprise Connectivity Service gives service providers a powerful package for enterprise customers.”

As with residential and small and medium business (SMB) services, calling plans can be attached to the Enterprise Connectivity Service to provide better pricing for enterprise customers. In addition, the wholesale cost for a single concurrent call bundle is lower than that of a residential line. SIP trunks also aggregate many phones through the same bundle, which allows the end-user to make better use of resources. The SIP trunk replaces the traditional T1/E1 interface and allows companies to add or remove capacity as needs change rather than requiring weeks of lead time to modify traditional circuits.
