AUSTIN, USA: Affinegy and Alepo jointly announced a new technology partnership between the Austin-based software leaders. As a result of a customer deployment in Mauritius, each will offer joint solutions providing for a complete, highly automated end-to-end system for service provisioning and complete customer activation, including device registration and validated service configuration.

Service providers of both fixed and mobile networks will benefit from the partnership between Affinegy and Alepo, whose pre-integrated products bring a total solution for service provisioning that eliminates IT investment and pre-deployment planning to enable faster introduction of new service offerings at lowered operational expense.

The joint solution enables Customer Service Agents (CSA) to easily provision new services to customers. In an Alepo-Affinegy deployment, the CSA would use Alepo's Service Enabler (SE) Customer Management System to select the services of interest to the customer. SE would then create and manage the policies administered by Alepo's AAA Policy Management server.

Once home, the customer would plug in the access device, like a DSL modem, and then be redirected to Affinegy's Customer Activation Portal where the device would be authenticated through the RADIUS integration with Alepo's Service Enabler. Affinegy's Auto Configuration Server would set the parameters of the device to match the SE service policies and the customer would then be fully operational with his chosen service bundle.

Alepo Service Enabler is a modular, carrier-grade BSS / OSS software framework that enables the delivery, monetization, and management of the latest IP data services. With modules encompassing revenue assurance, service and resource management, reporting and analytics, and customer management, Service Enabler allows providers to build a robust back office solution that is flexible, reliable, and extremely high-performing.

Affinegy offers a carrier-class ACS platform, based on the TR-069 standard, which has been deployed globally, and is built to manage several million devices - routers, DSL/cable gateways, ONTs, LTE/WiMAX modems, SIP phones and set top boxes - from a single server. Affinegy's Customer Care Agent and Home Portals provide intuitive GUIs, enabling remote and self-care fixes to network and services issues that reduce OPEX and increase ARPU by enabling advanced revenue-generating services.
