BANGALORE, INDIA: The 4G moment seems to have arrived in Karnataka with Bharti Airtel launching the fourth-generation (4G) wireless broadband spectrum in Bangalore today.

Bharti Airtel had won the 4G spectrum in four of India's 22 telecoms zones in the auction by paying Rs. 33.14 billion for spectrum in the Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kolkata and Punjab zones.
The company has selected Huawei as the network supplier for the Karnataka circle. In the next phase, Airtel will launch LTE services in Pune and Chandigarh.
