Agilent to invest $ 25 mn in India campus

NEW DELHI: Agilent Technologies Inc. has laid the foundation for its first campus near Manesar, Haryana. The 10-acre campus will be one of Agilent's largest worldwide, and will house employees involved in research and development, engineering support, and financial services for the company globally.

“Agilent is a leader in the electronics, telecom and life sciences test and measurement market, and a global employer of choice,” said Bill Sullivan, president and CEO, Agilent. “Our India operations have now reached critical mass, and investing in a new campus is the next logical step. With this campus, we are looking to increase our India headcount substantially over the next two years,” he added. The center has the capability of recruiting 200 people, he said.

Agilent will be investing $25 million over the next two years in India, informed Venkatesh Valluri, president and country general manager, Agilent Technologies India.

The campus will be completed in two years and is being designed to host a number of facilities, which will aid in developing global R&D technology programs, financial and business processes. Agilent currently has 1,200 employees in India.
