HYDERABAD: After Ganesh.com, it could well be Detroit.info up for grabs on eBay.

The owner of the domain, WebsiteGuru.com Inc. today bought detroit.info for an amount of US$10,000.

Revealing this to CyberMedia News, Sai Pola, president of WebsiteGuru.com, Inc. said that detroit.info would be initially developed and eventually sold.

WebsiteGuru is in the business of buying and selling domain names and developing websites for corporate clients in the USA. The company had acquired ganesh.com 10 months ago, according to Pola, an engineering graduate from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Elaborating on WebsiteGuru, Sai said, ``We buy and sell high profile domain names and websites. We expect to find end-user corporation or individual for these names. We would not be interested in underselling any of our domain names. If we don’t get the expected value for any of our Internet properties, we will prefer not to sell. It’s same as selling the home or any piece of real-estate. It’s the real-estate of the Internet.’’

Quizzed on domain names that WebsiteGuru is looking for in the future, Pola said, ``Our future plans include acquiring and developing generic domain names like cars.com, etc.’’

Pola believes that domain selling will remain hot for decades to come.
