Adobe's Spark says it about "communicating with impact." By looking and feel and also purpose it is like Canva. Previously, Adobe had provided free iOS apps: Adobe Post visually rich social media posts; Adobe Slate for web-based stories; Adobe Voice for animated videos. Now, it updated and integrated these mobile apps with a new web app called Adobe Spark, renaming the iOS offerings Spark Post, Spark Page and Spark Video.

"Standing out on social media, creating engaging visual content -- that's pretty hard. Most people know what they want to achieve, but they lack the design skills, and the time, to create beautiful content that'll look good on any device. That, in turn, makes it hard for them to stand out online and drive deeper engagement with their audience," says Aubrey Cattell, head of next-generation products at Adobe.

The Spark web app helps you create all types of content -- social posts/graphics, web stories, and animated videos -- on desktops, laptops or any other platform that can run a browser. It allows you to login via Facebook or Google, or with your Adobe ID, whereupon your projects will sync between devices.

GM Adobe Spark in his blog says, that the company chose the name "spark"  because it "represents that small thing that can ignite something much bigger." Hope it manages to do the same. But, with places like Canva and Fotor Adobe will definitely have a tough competition in this space.
