Adobe launches Premiere 6.5 in India

NEW DELHI: Adobe Systems Inc., a company dealing in network publishing, has launched Adobe Premiere 6.5, the latest version of its digital video editing software. With new advancements including Real-time Preview, the Adobe Title Designer, and support for MPEG-2 export and DVD authoring, Adobe Premiere 6.5 provides a complete editing environment to create and deliver professional, polished video productions.



Adobe Premiere 6.5 provides a range of video hardware support, including the Sony DVCAM devices and third-party capture cards, allowing editors to customize their workflow to suit their needs. During the editing process, Real-time Preview capabilities in Adobe Premiere 6.5 allow video editors to dramatically improve productivity by reducing the time spent rendering projects. Editors can instantly view effects, titles and transitions as they are made. In addition, video editors can enhance their projects with broadcast-quality title sequences created in the new Adobe Title Designer.



With more than 100 pre-designed templates and typographical controls, including outlined text, leading and kerning, users can quickly create eye-catching results. Adobe Premiere 6.5 also adds more than 90 high-quality Adobe fonts chosen for video titling.



Adobe Premiere 6.5 delivers complete, affordable video editing tools for producing professional-quality video for DVD, videotape, Web, CD-ROM and film. Windows users can export MPEG2 files using the new Adobe MPEG Encoder and then use the bundled version of DVDit! LE to author DVDs. Macintosh users benefit from integration with Apple iDVD and DVD Studio Pro that makes it possible to export MPEG2 files straight from the Adobe Premiere timeline. Editors looking to enhance their audio can access advanced audio features in Adobe Premiere 6.5.



Adobe Premiere 6.5 for Windows XP, 98SE, 2000, ME and Macintosh OS 9 and OS X will be available in India in the first week of September through Adobe distributors - Wipro Infotech and Tech Pacific at an estimated street price of Rs 29,000. The upgrade price for registered users will be Rs 7,500.
