BANGALORE: Adobe Systems India Pvt Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of
publishing and imaging software major Adobe Systems Inc, is looking to expand
its research and development activities in India.
The company may increase the size of its development team at its R&D
center in NOIDA or set up an entirely new center elsewhere in the country. Adobe
India Managing Director Naresh Chand, while not disclosing details did not deny
the move to expand operations. "We are looking at various options," he
said. The Indian R&D center currently employs 50 software developers and was
set up in 1998. Investment to date is close to $4 million. The Indian center is
one of three major development centers around the world, the other two being San
Jose and Seattle.
