And it's this realization which prompted Bangalore-based outsourced product developing company Aditi Technologies to enter the cloud computing space with Platform-as-a-Service offering.

Earlier Aditi's focus was on CRM solutions, which was branded Talisma. Later Talisma was developed into independent company in 2000. However, in changing times, areas of focus also change and diversification is a must.

The company sees this as a strategic move in the wake of the market condition and expects to extend the clientèle with its new offering.

Speaking to CIOL, Pradeep Rathinam who has now been re-designated as the CEO of the company, said that on-demand services like Platform-as-a-Service are picking up as the market sentiments have compelled the companies to opt for cost-effective ways.

“The cost pressure is really high, therefore the companies are shifting from pure cost to outsourced model. We offer value-based services, where a company saves a lot in terms of money and time,” he said.

Talking about the delivery methodology, he said, “We provide them product framework and then offer them service for complete delivery of the product on license basis. In other words, they get almost half the product ready, at the time of purchase.”

This facilitates deployment of applications without the cost and complexity of buying and managing its hardware and software. This makes web applications and services delivery easier with zero software downloads or installation hassle for customers.

He revealed that Aditi Technologies is planing to invest substantially in the market on the product delivery, preparing the workforce and the sales force. After expanding its business in London, Europe and Germany, Aditi is now eying its homeland for more numbers.

Rathinam said, “Our new centers are doing well. We would start in India with captives centers of our existing clients. We are in talks with a couple of clients and would be announcing results in the coming 3-6 months.” He added the company is looking for around 60 senior-level engineers.

Despite facing tough water in this sector, Aditi managed to grow by 25 per cent, as compared the 60 per cent growth in the year before. With the new offerings, Aditi is expecting a moderate performance.

Rathinam said, “This is a high-margin business and we are expecting a flat to moderate growth. In terms of turnover, we expect to cross the $100 million level from the present $78 million. He added that in the next two years the company would want to double its fugues, with more than 50 per cent growth year-on-year.”
