Acision names new VP for South West Asia

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Messaging company Acision today announced the appointment of Atanu Choudhury as vice president and general manager for South West Asia.

With extensive experience in the telecommunications industry working with mobile operators, equipment vendors and system integrators, Choudhury will oversee Acision’s South West Asian operations and will be instrumental in strengthening the company’s presence in the region through an aggressive growth strategy, said a press release.

Gerard Delany, senior vice president central sales at Acision, commented, “Atanu's engagement emphasizes our commitment to delivering exceptional client service and further developing our presence in the South West Asian market.”

Prior to joining Acision, Choudhury was VP Sales South West Asia at Dilithium Networks leading the sales and account management functions. Choudhury also held senior sales positions at Nortel Networks and Alcatel in this region, said the release.

Atanu Choudhury said Acision is ideally placed in terms of its strength, leadership and capability in messaging, mobile data services and charging, and my goal is to build on this competence across the region.

“Acision is a well respected company and I will add my energy and ideas to help develop the business and foster relationships with both existing and potential customers. Acision’s continued investment in Southern Asia is proof it is a strong player in these tougher economic climates and I see enormous potential to grow its market share over the coming years,” he added.

Acision said Udit Shanker remains as the country manager of India.
