Acer retail partner conference from Sept 12

BANGALORE,INDIA: One of the leading brands in PC and notebook market, Acer India, today announced that the ninth edition of their retail partner conference would be held from 12-15 September 2008.

This edition of the conference would be hosted in Zurich.

The release mentioned that fifty partners of Acer’s top performing retail (Acer malls and Acer points) across the country are expected to attend the conference.

The Retail Partner conference held in partnership with Intel, would prepare partners for a greater involvement and expectation of Acer’s outcome.

The company statement reported that it would disclose their upcoming plans and the technology roadmap in the coming conference.

Extensive knowledge sharing, in terms of market trends and future product trends from both Acer and their technology partner, is designed to further equip and empower partners during the following quarter, a press release stated.

Rajendran, chief marketing officer- Acer India, said, “This is going to be our 9th retail partner conference. Acer has witnessed tremendous growth during the last year and we would like to appreciate the performance of our retailers during the mega scheme, ‘Acer Mania’ that was held between October ’07 to March ’08.”

“Of the successful retail partners we are pleased to announce that 60 per cent of the retailers attending this conference are from C and D category cities which have been the focus of our expansion plans on the retail front in the last one year. We strongly believe in the ability of the IT retail channel and its viability as a long-term vehicle of growth for the company,” he added.

The release said that it would continue to generate more programs and schemes that would help partners maximize their association with Acer. The past retail conference destinations have included exciting locations like Goa, Kumarakom, Phuket, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai and Bentota.
