Acer launches world’s thinnest laptop- Swift 7 in India

A few months back, 16mm thick HP Spectre was launched that was touted to be the slimmest notebook in the market. But now it looks like, we have a new record breaker. Acer has launched a laptop which is thinner than 1 centimeter, 9.98mm to be specific.

Acer Swift 7 laptop, which the company says is the “world’s thinnest notebook PC” was launched at IFA earlier this year. The laptop has now been launched in India and will be available for sale from November 18 at Rs. 99,999.

Chandrahas Panigrahi, senior director and consumer business head at Acer India said, "Being the thinnest laptop in the world, it has a premium positioning in the market and with this latest offering, we have fulfilled the need for great performance in a beautiful thin package. Over the last few quarters, we were focused on strengthening our product portfolio by leveraging the latest in technology."

The flagship Swift 7 comes with an all-aluminium chassis and is packed in performance and stamina for all-day productivity, according to Acer India.

The base model of the laptop sports a 13.3-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It weighs just 1.1kg and obviously can be carried around with ease.

With Intel seventh generation Core i5 processor, the laptop will come with 4GB/8GB of RAM along with 256GB SSD for data storage and a terrific battery inside that helps users get up to nine whole hours of usage.

The device comes with the most modern wireless technology of 2x2 802.11ac with MU-MIMO. For quick data transfer, the laptop is backed with USB3.1 Type-C port and in terms of audio, the Swift 7 comes fitted with Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony.

The Acer Swift 7 will be available in black and gold dual tone color in Acer's exclusive stores; while online it will be available for sale exclusively via Flipkart.
