Acer launches Entra 451 PC

BANGALORE, INDIA: Acer India has launched its Power Entra 451 PC, based on the AMD Athlon 64 bit Desktop Processor for bringing affordable computing power to the common man.

The Acer Power Entra 451 is equipped with the AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (2.2 GHz, 512 KB L2 cache, 2000 MHz FSB), a system memory of 256 MB DDR2 RAM that is up gradable to 4 GB for enhanced performance and 80 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive at 7200 RPM giving high storage capacity to the desktop.

Targeted at the entry level home user, the Acer Power Entra 451 has a 52X CD-RW, DVD-R (Combo Drive) that enables burning of CDs and permits viewing VCDs/DVDs and listening to music. The desktop comes with the 6 USB ports (2 in the front), the desktop can be interfaced with various devices, AMD said in a statement.

Using the Linux Operating system, the distinctive feature of the Acer Power Entra 451, is a Black 15” CRT that offers good resolution and an elegant look to the desktop along with a black keyboard and a choice of a silver or black optical mouse.

It is available at an unbeatable price of Rs. 13, 799 with one year onsite warranty.

It is available at all Acer registered retail and channel outlets. Acer will employ its widespread network, of 2500 channel partners and 250 plus Acer retail outlets, to reach out to customers.
