Acer, HP patent war continues

BANGALORE, INDIA: Acer Inc. has once again sued Hewlett-Packard (HP) over alleged patent infringement.

The complaints, filed with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin and International Trade Commission on October 30, include innovations pertaining to personal computers, servers and peripheral devices.

With or without a legal proceeding, Acer persists to take all necessary steps to protect and enforce its patented technologies, said an Acer statement.

HP had filed a complaint against Acer in March. Later, it also added four more patent infringement against Acer.
