"AccuWeather is happy to work with Kaliki Audio Newsstand to deliver on-demand audio forecasts in GM vehicles," said Steve Smith, chief digital officer for AccuWeather. "We are dedicated to providing the most accurate forecasts in a way that is relevant and useful to our users. Working with leading-edge technology partners like Kaliki helps us meet the needs of our audience wherever they go."

"In order to stay relevant for today's commuters, you have to excel at providing local content", says Bruce Hopkins, VP of Sales at Kaliki. "Our partnership with AccuWeather enables our drivers to hear the day's forecast at the touch of a button. This provides an immense value to our drivers who need to know their local weather conditions now, instead of waiting for the news cycle on the radio."

The Kaliki Audio Newsstand is one of the inaugural applications in the Chevrolet AppShop, announced at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show. The AppShop will be available this summer on select 2015 U.S. and Canadian models with MyLink infotainment, including the Corvette, Equinox, Impala, Malibu, Volt, Silverado and Silverado HD.

Starting in 2014, AccuWeather and Kaliki will provide weather forecasts in over 100 metropolitan areas in the US and Canada including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Dallas, Toronto, Phoenix, Vancouver, San Diego, Seattle, and Miami. Later in 2014, AccuWeather and Kaliki will provide even more value to drivers by providing in-vehicle push notifications of inclement weather conditions so that drivers can be aware of changing weather conditions in a timely manner.
