Accton's new 802.11a-compliant WLAN solutions offer data transmission speeds

of up to 54Mbps in standard mode and 72Mbps in enhanced turbo mode, which is

seven times faster than a standard 802.11b WLAN device. Supporting a maximum

operating range of up to 1,650 feet and up to 64 simultaneous wireless network

connections, Accton's new wireless products operate in the 5Ghz frequency

spectrum enabling seamless co-existence with Bluetooth devices.

CheetahWireless products also offer advanced security based on 64-bit,

128-bit and 152-bit WEP encryption as well as MAC address filtering to ensure

secure data communication across the network. They also offer dynamic adjustment

of transmission rate for optimum effectiveness from a high of 72Mbps to a low of

6Mbps.

Compatibility with major operating systems including Windows 9x/NT/2000 and

XP and Linux is guaranteed. They also come with plug-and-play configuration to

provide ease of integration with any Web-based interface.

"The increasing demand for high bandwidth applications like streaming

AV, voice and data is straining the capabilities of existing wireless networking

technologies. Accton's next-generation 802.11a enhanced wireless products are

designed to enable a high-performance, robust, easy-to-implement wireless

networking solution that is fast enough to replace even a wired network in most

cases," said Accton India country manager, Milind Kamat.
