ABITA gets new committee

ANKLESHWAR, INDIA: During an event sponsored by Epson and Amity Software-Quick Heal, Ankleshwar Bharuch IT Association (ABITA) appointed a new President and board members for 2008-2009.

Vinesh Modi of Ankleshwar-based Roman Infotech, former President handed over the responsibilities to Naeem Surajwala of Bharuch-based Jetking Infotrain—the new President who then declared the new members of the board.

Sameer Mehta of Sunshine Computer, Ankleshwar was appointed as VP, Hitesh Vashi of Windson Infocom, Ankleshwar as Secretary, Lalit Wagh of Unisoft Systems and Peripherals, Bharuch as Joint Secretary. Jignesh Kayasth of New Tulsi Computers, Ankleshwar was appointed Treasurer, while Arun Champaneria of Champaneria Computers, Ankleshwar joined as Joint Treasurer. Irshad Malek of Vision IT, Bharuch and Unique Info-tech Systems, Ankleshwar are the new Internal Auditors.

Cheitaniya of Epson, MR Patel of Amity Software and Srivastava, Police Inspector, GIDC, Ankleshwar were the Guests of Honor during the installation ceremony.

Surajwala shared the highlights of programs and activities decided for 2008-09. The main agenda for this period is to increase membership and introduce corporate membership. The association will take a new office for ABITA and will appoint dedicated office employees for ABITA.

Documentation and standardization as per ISO 9001-2000 will also be obtained. Membership feedback and a correction system will also be formed. There will be guidelines for channel meet, event management programs and awareness programs for members and the public. The association will also organize family picnic and family information guide. It was also decided that the associations IT expo would be held in January 2009.
