Starting from Delhi, the roadshow and a simultaneous channel meet will take place in Ludhiana, Jaipur, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Cochin, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Raipur.

"The main objective of the roadshow is to reorient the products among the channel partners and to introduce the new product range of Biostar, G-41, an Intel-based motherboard," informed Subhashis Das, VP—Business Development, Abacus Peripherals.

“Through this roadshow, we are taking the opportunity to interact with our channel partners who are located across the country. We are utilizing it as a platform to promote the partners to focus more on DDR3 and we are also aiming to promote Biostar along with the other brands,” he said.

“Through this event, we want to convey to our channel partners that they should be assured of the quality of the products and they can avail higher profitability with us. We make sure that our channel partners enjoy higher margin with our products and they should be content while working with us,” remarked Soumitra Saha, Regional Manager, Abacus Peripherals.

Simon Wu, Sales Manger—APAC Sales Division, Biostar Group, who was also present in the event expressed that India is a market with huge potential and it is growing exponentially and hence it is important to capture the growing space.

“Abacus is the only distributor and we have been working closely for a considerable time. Biostar believes in having a single distributor rather than appointing multiple distributors that creates unnecessary competition and cuts down the prices and hence profitability of the partners. Through this roadshow, we are sending out message to our partners that Biostar is a quality-oriented company and our new range of products has features that will meet the customer's demand,” commented Wu.

When inquired him about the competition already existing in the market, Wu said, “It is good to have competition in the market so that vendors can make harder effort to meet the customer's demand. It forces the players to work on quality rather than only on quantity and we are ready to face the existing market players.”

Abacus has 19 branches across the country and has a network of 3,000 channel partners.
