BANGALORE, INDIA: Hard disk drives manufacturer Seagate announced that it had started shipping its Cheetah 15K.7 enterprise-class hard drives into the worldwide distribution channel.

According to the company, Cheetah 15K.7 is the highest performing, highest capacity 3.5" mission-critical hard drive with best-in-class reliability for Tier 1 environments. The 15K-rpm drive offers up to 600GB and reliability of 1.6m hours MTBF.

The drive is available with the 6Gb/s SAS or 4Gb/s FC interfaces and includes Seagate PowerTrim technology to reduce power consumption.
