BANGALORE, INDIA: Notebook and personal computer maker Acer announced the launch of its first netbook, Aspire One D270, which will be available at a price point of Rs 17, 251.

Powered by the Intel Atom dual-core processor, Cedar Trail, and fully loaded with Windows 7 starter, the N2600 is less than 1” in thickness, and has 10.1” LED backlit. Its 2 GB RAM internal memory is complemented with a 320GB hard disk capacity and the device also features multi-in-one card reader.
Sandeep Aurora, director-marketing, Intel South Asia, said, "We are extremely pleased to see Acer bring the latest Intel Atom processor based platform for Indian consumers. The Intel Atom Processor N2000 series brings 32nm process technology and an improved battery life by as much as 20 per cent compared to the previous generation.
Build and Design
The netbook is built to weigh 1.3 kg and is its 1” thickness.
It comes in various range of colours namely Expresso black color, Aquamarine, Burgundy Red, Seashell White.
The netbook features two built-in stereo speakers with high-definition audio support and MS-Sound compatibility and also has a line out for headphones and external speakers.
Acer has generously offered multiple jacks on the AO D270 netbook for convenient usage. The netbook is loaded with three 2.0 USB ports. It also features ports for VGA and HDMI.
The netbook also has a variety of other features such as a built in web cam, Graphics Media Accelerator 3600, WiFi compatibility, Ethernet technology, 2 GB RAM and 320 GB hard drive.
