New Delhi: The ministry of corporate affairs plans to investigate the role of senior employees who resigned in the past from Satyam Computer to gauge their involvement in the accounting fraud. "We will probe them.Anyone found guilty, even if he or she has resigned long before, would be punished," a senior corporate affairs ministry official told DNA. Last week, the ministry official said they were investigating Satyams directors, auditors, executives and company secretary for their involvement in the fraud. Senior Satyam officials who have resigned earlier include Raj Asava, senior vice-president, strategic deals, who resigned in 2007 and now is with Perot Systems, and Shailesh Shah, chief strategy officer, who resigned in October last year. Incidentally, both these officials, before their stint with Satyam, had worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, which is also under the scanner for its involvement in the fraud.
