BANGALORE, INDIA: CanvasM Technologies, Tech Mahindra’s VAS subsidiary and part of the $ 14.4 billion Mahindra Group, and Polaris Wireless, a provider of software-based wireless location solutions, announced a partnership to introduce a network based wireless location solution in India.

The solution enables mobile operators to identify location of emergency calls made from a mobile phone, says a release.

Polaris Wireless recently expanded its India ‘Centre of Excellence’ development and operations organization, based in Bangalore. Moreover, in a recent field test, the performance of the Polaris Wireless' location solution exceeded the India Department of Telecommunications mandate for accuracy in urban-areas, it adds.
