SCHAUMBURG, USA: The Motorola Solutions business of mobile handset maker Motorola and network equipment vendor Ericsson entered into an agreement to develop public safety communication equipment using the fourth generation technology, LTE.
LTE mobile broadband technology will allow Motorola to provide communications capabilities for public safety with real-time information sharing between an integrated multimedia command centre and a collaborative portfolio of rugged radios, in-vehicle terminals, and handheld LTE data devices.Also Read: TDD-LTE equipments by Q1 2011: Ericsson
Combined with Motorola’s public safety optimized LTE core and interoperability platform, Ericsson will provide its LTE access equipment as well as parts of its packet core and related services to deliver broadband multimedia services to public safety.
