Samsung enhances notebook range in India

Samsung announces the launch of four new mini notebooks under its N-series and three R-series notebooks

NEW DELHI, INDIA: South Korean consumer electronics major Samsung strengthened its mini notebook and notebook range in the Indian market. Samsung announced the launch of four N-series mini notebooks and three R-series notebooks.

The mini notebook range has four variants — N110, NC20, N120 and N310. In the notebook range, Samsung launched three new variants; R522 (which is available in two versions) and R470.

Samsung, which announced its foray into mobile PC segment in December 2008, is targeting both home users as well as enterprise segment with the new launches.

Ranjit Yadav, director, IT Business, Samsung India, said: "We are looking at mini notebook segment as a clear growth driver for mobile computing business."

Samsung's mini notebooks and notebooks are priced in the range of Rs. 23,639 to Rs. 1,15,000
