FRANKFURT,GERMANY: Mobile phones using the Android operating system offer more configuration options than other smartphones, according to a test performed by German computer magazine c't.
The magazine's testers took the best-outfitted Android mobiles on the market right now - the Google Nexus One and Motorola's Milestone - and compared them to the iPhone 3GS. Testers found that, among other things, the mobiles using Android could have their interface modified to meet an individual's needs "sensibly."
Android was rated as being more flexible than the other system, especially when it came to running apps in the background while another programme is in use. That function only works on the iPhone with apps produced directly by Apple.
