auroville has 2000 people in 150 sq km...please compare this to the population density in the rest of the country....of course we would be better off if we could clear off the natives and make it a white mans playground without rules or regulations...where they smoke dope and russian mafia runs hotels..... and the funny part is ...it still isnt self sustaining....

Dear Deepa, Please to visit and live in Auroville for a few weeks. Although it sounds very flattering, but Auroville has its own share of woes and challenges. It would behoove to live the experience and then see how it could be applied to other areas of India. It is true that Auroville has been a beacon to foster a lot of new technical, ecological and social experiments, but we have miles to go for sure. Please to visit, live and then repen your thoughts on how India should proceed. Good luck, chandresh Auroville resident

please also quote population density figures for auroville before you attempt such a theory. 5000 people does not make a city.
