HONG KONG, CHINA: PC firm Hewlett-Packard (HP) officially unveiled a series of web-enabled printers in Asia that will allow users to print remotely from mobile devices such as an iPhone or a laptop PC.
HP App StoreLike peers Nokia and Apple, Palo Alto- headquartered HP will launch its own version of an app store designed to work with its printers, enabling customers to print directly from the app.Also Read: HP brings printers that talk to cloud
Customers are required to set up an account with HP’s cloud-based ePrint Centre service, which provides access to additional applications, printing options and maintenance settings
HP is committing to deliver this technology in all its printers from $99 upwards.
A lot of hype have been building around the word 'Cloud' and the latest to come in the picture is 'cloud storage', also called storage-as-a-service
