"Companies have used AWS Import/Export for everything from time-sensitive imports at the end of a datacenter lease, to exporting large data sets to their customers, to disaster recovery," said Alyssa Henry, GM, Amazon S3. "We're excited to make the service generally available and even easier to use."
Amazon Web Services today also announced support for Amazon S3 in the AWS Management Console.
The AWS Management Console provides convenient management of your compute, storage, and other AWS cloud resources through a simple point-and-click, web-based interface.
A lot of hype have been building around the word 'Cloud' and the latest to come in the picture is 'cloud storage', also called storage-as-a-service
