BANGALORE, INDIA: As per several media reports storage services provider Dell has acquired RNA Networks, a Portland, Oregon-based start-up that makes Memory Virtualization Platform (MVP) and virtualisation software.

Although, so far, there has been no official confirmation from Dell, RNA on its site posted this statement:

“RNA Networks, Inc. has been acquired by Dell Inc. Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) listens to customers and delivers innovative technology and services that give them the power to do more.”

RNA Networks in the last two years, is an innovative start-ups created by one of its technology to connect multiple x86 servers, which are like a huge workload for the specific server, says a report on The Register.

RNA Networks was founded in 2006 by Ranjit Pandit. He had the database clustering project at SilverStorm Technologies (which was eaten by QLogic) and who worked on the InfiniBand interconnect and the Pentium 4 chip while at Intel, adds the report.
