BANGALORE, KARNATAKA: The India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the trade body representing the Indian semiconductor industry, made a good start on the second and concluding day of the ISA Vision Summit 2009.

The sessions today focused on areas and topics relevant to the success of the semiconductor industry including, patterns in funding, the potential to harness alternate sources of energy like solar energy and methods to succeed in business in the current economy. Constructive and affirmative ideas were also shared toward seeding local technologies for domestic requirements.

The key takeaways of the summit include the emerging domestic market giving rise to India specific products and opportunities. Healthcare and solar photovoltaic (PV) were emerging segments. The downturn also gave an opportunity for local companies to become global.

In conclusion, no crisis should be allowed to go waste. India has the opportunity to lead the world. Innovation and entrepreneurship are the future for growth.
