BANGALORE: The three-day Embedded Systems Conference, ESC India, concluded in Bangalore, with active participation from the embedded community and keynotes from eminent speakers.
Delivering the keynote, luminary of the embedded design world and senior VP at Texas Instruments Greg Lowe said, "The world is watching India become a rich source of innovation and technology. A unique country with world-class design capabilities, it is playing a key role in delivering next-generation technologies in the embedded space."
In another industry address, Joe Jensen, GM of Embedded Markets Division at Intel said, "Today's technological reality was once our ancestors' dream. Embedded processor technology in combination with the developer community can rise to meet the dreams of our next generation."
The exposition held alongside the Conference got warm responseses. Exhibitors included Intel, Texas Instruments, Wind River Technologies, Green Hills Software, LynuxWorks; Microchip Technology, NXP Semiconductor, Celestial, Embedded Systems Solutions, Telelogic, CMC Limited and many other global as well as home-grown specialist companies.
Earlier, West Bengal IT Minister Dr. Debesh Das who has been a chip industry professional himself, exhorted engineers to apply embedded system design for the benefit of society through applications in agriculture, medical services, flood control and not just automobiles and mobile handsets.
