India is well on the global stage of the embedded systems industry. A joint study by the Indian Semiconductor Association and Frost & Sullivan has revealed that 81% of the jobs in semiconductor and electronics chip design are in Embedded space and this is set to become 86% by 2015. The Indian semiconductor design industry is USD 4.6 bn in size of which embedded software is USD 3.7 bn”.
