BANGALORE, INDIA: Jaswinder Ahuja, Vice President & Managing Director, Cadence Design Systems, has been appointed as the Chairman of the India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the trade body representing the Indian semiconductor driven industry for the year 2008 - 09. B.V. Naidu, Managing Director, SemIndia Systems, will be the Vice Chairman.

The other executive council members include: Dr Pradip Dutta, Synopsys India, Sham Banerji, Texas Instruments, Vivek Sharma, ST Microelectronics, Dr. Satya Gupta, Open-Silicon Research, Rajeev Mehtani, NXP Semiconductors, Dr. Sunit Tyagi, Intel Technologies, Ganesh Guruswamy, Freescale Semiconductor and S. Janakiraman, President & CEO, MindTree.

Announcing the new members on the ISA board, Ms. Poornima Shenoy, President, ISA, said: “ISA has always believed in following a fair and open election process in selecting its office bearers. This Executive Council represents all segments of the semiconductor industry and both domestic and international design and manufacturing companies."
