SAN JOSE, USA: The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) released the CYQ4 2007/year-end 2007 Global Semiconductor Fundings and Financials Report, which indicated the global semiconductor revenue to be worth $267.5 billion during 2007. Key findings include: * Semiconductor revenue totaled $267.5 billion, with fabless and IDM revenue accounting for 20 percent and 80 percent of the 2007 semiconductor sales total, respectively. * 206 semiconductor companies (fabless, IDM and suppliers) raised $2.7 billion in 2007. * The top 15 semiconductor companies by 2007 revenue accounted for $158.4 billion, or 58 percent of total semiconductor revenue.
