Elina's inventory management software provides the CIO with a dashboard with all the information that is out in the location – both the software inventory and hardware inventory. This also gives a simple mechanism of auditing a security policy. It tells you what versions of your anti-virus are being run at different locations. It alerts the CIO if any security software solution is outdated in any particular location.

"These kind of security allows you to bullet proof the data at every location and the HQ," says Nair. 

Talking about IT spend among SMBs, he notes, "In the last six months, the IT spend among SMBs has become a lot more cost-conscious decision. In the last quarter, Elina saw a significant growth in revenues and in customer acquisition. SMBs attribute it to the fact that our product solution was tailored to meet their requirements and was cost effective."

"We actually used it as an opportunity to go to the SMBs and provide cost-effective solutions for their IT services delivery. They automatically saw the value proposition being much more in these harsher environments.  For us, this has been an opportunity and we have got into some of the retail customers for all India roll out of our solutions," he adds.
