The solution is a flexible, powerful, affordable family of disk systems created with small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in mind, said a press release.

The solution provides users with automated data protection, including simple cross-platform file sharing, consolidated iSCSI storage, improved backup and recovery capabilities and remote replication for offsite data storage and disaster recovery.

The Tandberg Data DPS2000 NAS allows SMBs to extend their storage and share data on a single, cost-effective platform. It features a user-friendly interface and an easy-to-use Web-based file browser.

The DPS2000 NAS ships with a single server version of AccuGuard software, which provides backup and recovery utilizing a powerful source-based data de-duplication engine designed to increase effective storage capacities, said the release.. |

The DPS2000 NAS comes in a desktop configuration with 4TB or a 1U rackmount configuration with either 4TB or 8TB.
