NIMA based in Nashik is a large SMB Association with over 5000 industries as part of it and over 4000 members. The Association has diverse portfolios built into it and has 40 committees to manage and oversee the functioning of the Association. The 40 committees collaborate regularly to discuss the various proceedings and priorities of NIMA. There are exclusive departments and portfolios for Infrastructure, Finance, Sick Industries, Labor Union and more. NIMA also acts as a liaison agent between the Government and the Members of NIMA in representing their challenges and concerns.

According to NIMA President, Mr. Hirawat, NIMA conducts various activities during a month conducting seminars, workshops, conferences and meetings for its members. The topics of discussion often cover critical aspects that affect and impact the members organizations like government subsidies, financing, technology, health, export, programs to increase awareness and so on.

This is a 40 year old Association and over the years, organizations have started becoming its members and associating with NIMA. The key focus for 2011/12 is to acquire new land for the arrival of new industries and also to upgrade the overall infrastructure around the industrial belt.

Mr. Hiravat has been passionately involved with NIMA’s activities for more than a decade now. His commitment and dedication is commendable. He accepts that there is tremendous amount of time that gets invested for activities such as these. He admits that none of this would have been possible without the passion and enthusiasm to get things moving and is true of anyone else in his place.

Nashik is growing at a high speed and is on the brink of major development with major sectors and organizations coming to start up. It is cited as the next city for industrial development and will see some major growth in the coming years, he adds.
