BANGALORE, INDIA: Bangalore-based Wolf Frameworks is around 25 member strong team with less than half a million dollar revenue. Seeing the increasing potential in the local market, the company is looking forward to establishing strong foothold in India. As they define themselves, Wolf Framework is a 100 per cent AJAX & XML based PaaS for designing and delivering interoperable and mashable SaaS applications. They claim to help produce applications 70 per cent faster at less than half the cost. Sunny Ghosh, director of the company, said that many service companies were skeptical about capabilities of Indian potential, while there was plethora of opportunities. "The service providers should explore our potential to understand the benefits," he said, adding, "Our services have multiple benefits like, they save data in private database server and extract application design in XML. Also the offering comply with Pure Standards Oriented Web Service Technology. And our offering ranges from Rs 300-500 per user per month basis, while the market rates start at Rs 2000 per user per month." The company believes that because of their collaborative approach, their offering cost comes down drastically. Wolf has got around 13 such SaaS partners, two out of which are based in India. According to Ghosh, "This kind of on-demand service is very quick and cost-effective measure, and will help a lot of services companies build customized applications for their smaller clients, who till date could not adopt these technologies because of the cost." Though the company was established in 2006, its official operation had commenced just six to eight months back. Interestingly, in this short span the company managed to acquire 20 customers and more than 2000 indirect users of the platform. Seeing the market opportunity, the company aims to acquire around fifty more customers and double the user base apart from strengthening the workforce. Their operation extend to US, Australia, India and Middle East, but majority of the business comes from APAC region. The company is a certified Microsoft partner for certain services like Microsoft Suit. But soon, it is expected to announce more tie-ups with other providers like Google and Sap to broaden their offerings.
