The Internet giant brings a free platform Internet advertising for all small businesses with an online presence in India

BANGALORE, INDIA: Bringing the power of Internet advertising to small businesses, Google India today announced a special initiative to help entrepreneurs jump start their online advertising campaign on Google's Ad Words platform for free.

All small businesses with an online presence will be able to avail Rs 2500/- worth of advertising coupons by just calling the number 1860 266 6622 and registering their websites with Google India Ad Words platform - http://adwords.google.co.in.

Launching this all-India initiative, Google India's head of on-line sales, Sridhar Seshadri said, "Small and medium businesses have always wanted to advertise to get more business but that option has consistently remained beyond their reach because of the high costs associated."

He further added that with Google's AdWords platform, they no longer have to worry as they can start advertising with a budget which as low as Rs 200 per day and grow it as per their business demand. With Punjab being the hub of small entrepreneurial businesses, they want to provide the entrepreneurs there with an opportunity to try out online advertising options and see the results for themselves.

The demand for online search engine advertising by SMEs has been growing consistently in India. And with Google being the leading player in the search category, Google's AdWords platform offers reach and precision targeting making it one of the most cost-effective and highly-targeted online advertising platforms available today, said a press release.

Highlighting the success of Google AdWords among many SME advertisers, Seshadri further added "The combined benefits of the online medium and Google AdWords platform enables SMEs to target precisely, pay only for results, and stay firmly in charge of costs."

"Besides this, online is also a smart place to be when your customers are price-conscious and doing a lot of research on the web before they make a purchasing decision. Indian SMEs are increasingly appreciating the control that search marketing gives them and they are using it to their advantage to drive business growth."

Small medium businesses can also use the platform to target new audiences on the Google advertising network and get a greater control of their budgets, with very little time commitment and reach out to specific audiences not only in India but also international markets.

Google India foresees a vast opportunity in SME sector and is committed to extend support to all local SME advertisers to help them gain from the Internet medium, added the release.
