BANGALORE, INDIA: SAP, a provider in business software, today announced the launch of SAP business suite 7 in India. The next generation suite would help businesses to optimize their performance and reduce IT cost. The business suite is designed to ease upgrades and help customers reduce IT costs with enhancement packages, gain stronger insights with select analytics capabilities from the SAP Business Objects portfolio, and achieve end-to-end process excellence through the modular deployment of industry best practices and service-oriented architecture (SOA). “In the present economic environment, Indian companies are striving to improve efficiencies across all areas of their businesses in order to remain highly competitive. Through their recent partnership with RIM, they have deployed the new SAP business suite 7 on Blackberry phones which would enable the users to execute and optimize their business and IT strategies. The major Indian clients deploying the CRM suite are Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), J K Tyres, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). "We are pleased to sign for the ramp-up of CRM 7.0, to leverage the enhanced features and flexibility of CRM 7.0,” said, K Harishankar, vice president-IT, Hindustan Unilever Limited. CRM is a key part of the new SAP Business Suite 7. The suite focuses on reduction of total cost of ownership (TCO) and delivers more than 150 functional innovations through enhancement packages and a synchronized release schedule for all applications - SAP ERP, SAP Customer Relationship Management etc. Underpinned by SAP Solution Manager, enterprise edition, SAP Enterprise Support accelerates innovation and reduces implementation cycles which enables them to manage their ongoing operations in a cost-effective manner. “It gives us immense pleasure to share the success of the newly launched SAP Business Suite 7 globally and in India,” said Ramakrishna Yarlapati, senior vice president, Business Suite Core Products, SAP Labs India. “SAP Labs India has made significant contributions to the Business Suite 7 across the entire development value chain including product definitions, development, quality assurance and supporting early customer implementations. The SAP suite is available in more than 20 countries across the globe. SAP also announced Atos Origin, Capgemini, IBM, Wipro as their launch partners for the new business suite.
