IP-SAN market in India by 2008.

CMN: What is the size of the current storage market and what are the problems faced by organizations?
Jayaram Krishnan: Based on the Gartner report, the storage market in India was $152.01 billion during 2006. The revenue growth was seen at 23 percent. IP-SAN is likely to garner more than 25 percent of the global market by 2007.
Among many the problems faced by organizations today are huge time consumption for data back-up, substantial service disruption during back-up, tedious restoration process involved in tape backup, and also the data is not done very often.
Some other problems include unexpected disasters leading to loss of data, virus attack on systems, data security, centralized accessing and management of data and multiple user access.
CMN: Which are the products that AMI offers in countering these storage problems?
JK: AMI India offers storage products (IP-SAN and NAS Storage Systems) and vehicle tracking solution (GSM/GPRS/GPS technology based).
