NEW DELHI, INDIA: R. Chandrashekhar, Secretary, Department of Information and Technology, has been given the additional charge of Department of Telecommunication on Thursday morning.
Chandrashekhar is a 1975 batch Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer. He has been the driving force behind formulation of national policies, agendas, strategies and action plans for e-Governance in the country.
It is worth mentioning that PJ Thomas, the outgoing DoT Secretary has been appointed as the 14th Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) on Tuesday.
