The NETGEAR ProSafe 24 and 48 Port Gigabit Stackable Smart Switches (GS724TS and GS748TS) offer performance and reliability in a complete affordable network switch solution that delivers scalability and high availability, advanced security, advanced Quality of Service (QoS), and “smart” management features.

Two dedicated high-speed stacking ports provide 20 Gbps of bandwidth and provide the ability to stack as many as six switches, while maintaining high-speed connectivity across the stack with off-the-shelf HDMI cables, which are included with the switches. All switches in the stack are hot-swappable and the stacking technology enables automatic fail-over in case any switch in the stack fails, providing rapid reconfiguration to prevent network downtime.

The GS724TS and GS748TS provide robust security and advanced Quality of Service to SMBs including a robust feature set that includes: 802.1x for authentication, ACL filtering, 802.1p and DSCP-based prioritization for prioritization of VoIP traffic, and rate limiting.

Optimized for use with NETGEAR’s ProSafe Network Management Software (NMS100), all ProSafe Gigabit Stackable Smart Switches can be managed as though they are one unit from an easy-to-use browser-based console that can be used for configuration, network monitoring and troubleshooting. The switches also have SNMP to collect and track data, manage devices and more easily enforce critical IT controls and policies.
