Subir Agarwal should be scrambling to get his name OFF every online publication soon. The ticketing system for the consumer is painfully unreliable. If there is one example of screwed up ethics and utter disregard to the INdian public, irctc and BroadVision would be a leading one.

Please get back Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav as the RAilway minister as Ms. Mamta Banerjee has failed to provide uninterrupted website service to the user. Mostly the website is in the failed state and remove the service from the company providing this service. Our Tax is being used wrongly by the wrong companies. Thanks,

I have an IRCTC account which is locked second time. When i tried to reset the password through forget password link, it asks User id, question and Answer. I provided all the details and it throws an error "Answer is Incorrect". This happend second time and both the times i tried to login through the actual password. I waited for a week and there was no response from IRCTC customer care. I called them up on 24 Hrs. Customer Support at 011-23340000 and it took about 12 calls to make them understand about the issue. When ever i called up the customer support the person attnding the call will redirect me to someone else after listening to my detail and again i need to explain whole story, inshort that was waste of time and money. I sent an email at care@irctc.co.in also submit at http://www.consumercourt.in/railways/14030-irctc-login.html and got an automated email as Ticket Confirmation for the request. IRCTC should hire service and satisfaction oriented support executives so that it a common man has no pain of wasting time and money.

They should put the servers by themselves or convince the Railway Ministry to do so. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT FOR SOMEBODY TO BELL THE CAT

Highest average number of passengers per minute are booked during
08.00 A.M to 08.30 A.M only when the response is slow due to heavy rush.
Tatkal Quota berths/seats in important trains get booked very soon (within

through Internet by a large number of people through Internet. On average

very large number of passengers trying to login all together. The system's

That is the idea. The agents gets priority. The poor public has no option but to go to the agent and buy the same ticket paying 250 rupees or more to the agent in adition to the actual ticket cost. India is supposed to be the best in IT. In fact the developed countries are outsourcing their IT jobs to India and India itself cannot manage such a small problem ??? SO very unfortunate for India

Hi Ajay, I think there's some loophole. If service remains unavailable between 8 to 8:30 AM both on internet & reservation counters then how it is possible that when we are able to login, there are no vacant berths left to reserve. May be something is going on the backend or the systems allows login to agents for greater profit.
