What exactly is the Unique ID project?
A project in which every Indian citizen would have one unique identification number that will identify him/her. It would not just help the government track down individuals as is highlighted by the media, but would make life far easier for citizens as they would not have to submit so many documents each time they want to avail a new service—private or government

As the proper identification of individual finger prints also be taken into account so that no need to ask any unknown person for UID, only taking finger prints, software it self generate the UID of an individual.

This is an excellent initiative by UPA govt. and has chosen the most eligible person for the job.It would ensure easy authentication of citizens and would definitely reduce transaction cost and verification process would become vastly simpler and quicker.Kudos to the project and HAPPY LUCK to Nandan Nilekeni.

Its really a good concept towards better India, but has anyone thought how secure would this be. I mean in terms of data getting revealed to the unwanted people across the world and misusing the information of an individual of the country. I hope everyone understands the meaning of unwanted people here. Every individual in the country wants to support such concepts and would have more better thoughts to make India better, but are afraid about the security which is very terrible in India.

I personally think UID will solve a number of our existing problems and to top the list it will wipe out corruption from our babraj and our bureaucracy. well I have been thinking and working in this direction for the past five years. I hope my research can benefit our helpless and inefficient government. I may present my research in one single line to tell the whole story. I have devised a theory which can give every citizen one single number as his election ID, PAN card, driving LIC number, and any single number one can think of may be it be of a central, state, Local, district, Taluka government.
