MUMBAI, INDIA: Websense, Inc. today appointed Surendra Singh as its director for the SAARC region.

Singh will manage Websense operations in India and neighboring countries. He has over 16 years of technology management and field experience with business expertise in sales, marketing, corporate strategy and public relations.

Before joining Websense in 2005, Singh started India operations for RSA Security and later headed South East Asia and India operations.

"Working closely with the regional teams, I see a great opportunity to further develop the SAARC region and take the business to the next level," said Singh. "This is an exciting challenge as Websense continues to expand its product portfolio to include web security, content security, messaging security solutions and On-Demand services for small and medium businesses as well as enterprises."
