Vijay Rangineni appointed new COO of Satyam BPO

HYDERABAD, INDIA: Global consulting and information technology service provider Satyam Computer Services Limited today announced that its business process outsourcing unit has appointed Vijay Rangineni as the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The new appointment comes at a time when Satyam BPO is strengthening its focus on specialty offerings after being named the number 2 BPO at the global level in the Brown-Wilson's Black Book of Outsourcing, said a press release.

Vijay Rangineni would be primarily responsible for driving Satyam BPO's business transformation across customer engagements, it said.

An alumnus of Kellogg's School of Management, Illinois, Vijay Rangineni has over 20 years of experience in service industry.

Prior to joining Satyam BPO, he was associated with leading organizations such as GE Money India, American Express and California Micro Devices, the release said.

"We are delighted to have Vijay on board. He has extensive experience acquired from working with global organizations. His broad outlook will benefit Satyam BPO and our customers," said Satyam BPO CEO Venkatesh Roddam.

Speaking about his new assignment, Vijay Rangineni said, "Satyam BPO's strong foothold in the specialty sphere has made the organization a leader. My focus will be on taking this leadership position forward by looking at more such opportunities, especially in operational excellence.
