In the next two years, it plans to hire 400 staffs for the new facility

MUMBAI, INDIA: Ugam Solutions, an outsourced operations and analytics services provider to the marketing research industry, has set up a new delivery center in the Coimbatore Hi-tech Infrastructure Limited (CHIL) IT Park at Sarvanampatti, Tamil Nadu.

The new state-of-the-art facility center is spread over 44,000 square feet area, where about 400 staffs can work. “All our growth is going to come from our Coimbatore center, which means all the investments have been funded are diverted in setting-up the infrastructure,” said Dharmesh Mistry, Ugam Solution’s vice-president and chief talent officer (CTO).

“The idea is to keep growing in Coimbatore, so that all the investments required to grow in the next couple of years is made from here,” Mistry added.

The Coimbatore hub will cater to industry domains of market research outsourcing, analytics and online marketing services.

“We are looking at all these areas to be operating outside Coimbatore and it is a natural progression of growth for the organization,” he said.

Mistry said Ugam was looking at delivery center outside Mumbai as the company already has two centers within the city.

“We wanted to have a third facility as a delivery center based outside Mumbai and in the next two years, about 400 people will be recruited for the Coimbatore center.” Mistry also observed that there is a possibility of having a delivery center outside India.

Ugam Solutions was started in 2001 with a mere 16 member team and today it has increased its headcount to over 950 staffs, where 800 employees work at its two Mumbai facilities and the rest are based in the UK and the US offices.

On the rationale behind opting Coimbatore for the facility setup, Mistry said the company was looking at a lot of talent and growth in India at a place which has a geographical redundancy from Mumbai.

He said they found Coimbatore as a favored destination, as it has the most number of engineering colleges, which would help Ugam get the right talent to propel its growth.

He said the company's average growth rate has been 30-35 per cent and this year, it is expected to grow by 35-38 per cent.
