NEW DELHI, INDIA: Towell-TAKE Solutions LLC (TTC) has received contract from Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (Oneic) for updating fleet handheld computers used to read electricity and water meters across Oman.

Oneic has carried out a pilot testing of TTS meter reading system in some areas to guarantee a smooth transition.

Towell-Take had designed the application on the Intermec Handheld Computers, to be fully compatible with the old Palm devices.

This eliminated the need for any software changes in the billing system of Oman National Engineering and Investment Company.

"Towell-TAKE Solutions (TTS) was the obvious choice considering their experience in implementing Mobility Solutions on handheld computers. TTS is known as the Mobility Leader in the region. TTS also excels in providing support services," said Al Rashdi, IT manager of Oneic.
