MUMBAI, INDIA: California-based security technology company McAfee, Inc. today announced a new exclusive partnership with Toshiba to provide a 30-day free trial of McAfee Internet Security Suite on Toshiba laptop computers.

The free trial would be provided to the consumer and small and medium-size business channels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a press release said.

The McAfee Internet Security Suite with SiteAdvisor will be included on Toshiba laptops supporting over 24 languages in 42 countries.

This provides comprehensive PC protection to keep consumers and their families safe from online threats and shields them from risky Web sites, the company said. It offers anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-phishing and two-way firewall protection.

Additionally, it includes anti-spam, parental controls, identity protection and a powerful Web site safety advisor enabling consumers to safely surf the Web, the release added.

"We are pleased to be working with Toshiba to offer pre-installed, proactive online security for Toshiba's products in these regions of the world," said Todd Gebhart, senior vice president and general manager, McAfee consumer, mobile and small business. He added that computer security is a global issue.

"McAfee Internet Security Suite offers both comprehensive security and automatic daily updates, so consumers are fully protected against the newest online threats without having to manually update their software," said Thomas Teckentrup, general manager computer systems EMEA, Toshiba.
